Maxtraction Extreme Suspension

About the Product

Maxtraction non dislocating Extreme suspension kits consist of front and rear springs, front and rear shock absorber mounts, front and rear Pro-comp or Rough Country shock absorbers, extra long braided brake hoses, heavy duty rear spring retainers, rear bumpstop spacers, and all the nuts and bolts required to fit the kit to your vehicle, with the Pro crawler kit having castor corrected front arms and cranked rear arms. The Crawler kit without the arms can be fitted legally to an A.L.R.C. vehicle, increasing suspension travel considerably in any trials or standard configuration giving competitive advantage in a trials situation.

Maxtraction kits perform best on the vehicle the springs were designed for so to that end if the kit is being fitted to a non standard vehicle a weight is required for the front and rear axle loads. This can be achieved buy either attending a weigh bridge or attending Tomcat Motorsport were your vehicle can be weighed. Once the weight is known the correct springs can be supplied allowing the kit to work most effectively.

With the Pro Crawler kit fitted to a Landrover 90 you would expect to reach around 750mm under the back wheel without wheel lift, and with same kit fitted to a Discovery or a Classic Range Rover you would expect around 675mm under the back wheel without lift. All these figures are achieved without spring dislocation and therefore eliminates the need for relocation cones and the irritating noise of the springs relocating.

Kits are currently available for 90, Defender 90, Range Rover classic, Discovery 200 and 300, with Defender 110, Discovery series 2, and Range Rover P38 in the pipeline for late 2007.

Fitting of the kit requires reasonable mechanical competence particularly when fitting the brake pipes, and on older vehicles were corrosion of components is an issue. If no major problems are encountered the kit should take 6 to 8 hours to fit.(see fitting instructions). It is possible for you to have your kit professionally fitted by the appointed installers at their hourly rate (see installers).

Individual components can be purchased at any time but unless fitted with a kit no warranty for component failure will be honoured.
