Bob Seaman and John Jennings finished as the first Maxtraction team with a fine 1st in  the trophy class and 12th overall in their Milner R5, troubled only with a broken windscreen, the pair drove consistently  all weekend. Seaman and Jennings were helped along buy Steve Lloyd donating the windscreen out of his Milner R5 after his gearbox jammed in 4th on run 1.

Greg Macleod with his new co-driver Minnie in the Maxtraction Tomcat didn't quite get on the the pace for the very technical course until Sunday, they too required a windscreen by the end of the weekend hitting the same branch as Seaman, finishing 15th overall and holding a creditable 7th position in the championship rankings put them as the highest placed Maxtraction team.

Congratulations to Tim Dilworth on his first victory in his new car.

18/19 April 2009 S.C.C.C. Round 2, Auchtermuchty

David Bartlett in a Maxtraction Tomcat 100 won the second round of the S.C.C.C.  from Colin Stevenson in a Simmbuggini by a convincing 1 minute 56, Bartlett flew the whole way setting the fastest run time on every lap , leaving everyone in his wake. Rumour has it he will have a more powerful engine for the next round, as the current engine is a bit tired!!!

11th/12th April 09 B.C.C.C. Round 1,Crickhowell

Steve Lloyd on his first outing in the Milner R5, drove to a tremendous 4th overall and first in class, he and Oliie played a waiting game by driving consistently all weekend despite nursing broken ribs. It was not with challenge, power steerng trouble and suspension difficulties hampered progress on Saturday in the Milner works car.

Greg MacLeod drove solo to a fine 9th overall and 2 nd class despite gear selection difficulties on run 1 and an altercation with a tree later on Saturday.

Bob Seaman was definitely challenged the most over the weekend with no navigator on Saturday and loosing reverse gear on what was a very tight course, resulting in the team having to remove the gearbox twice to repair the ailing gear selector. He never the less collected first place in the Trophy rally and 13th overall.
